Known for
- Joined Second City mainstage in 1971 at age 22, the youngest ever at that time.
- Founded the pre-Second City West Compass Trio with Tino Insana and Steve Beshekas.
- Original cast member of Saturday Night Live (1975-1979).
- Co-created The Blues Brothers with Dan Aykroyd.
- Starred in National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) and The Blues Brothers (1980).
- Died of a drug overdose in 1982 at age 33.
