- Founded December 6, 2002 by Ali Reza Farahnakian in a former synagogue/church at 154 W. 29th St. in Chelsea.
- Farahnakian had worked at Second City and was an early UCB collaborator before striking out solo.
- Expanded December 31, 2010 with a second campus at 123 E. 24th St. in the Flatiron District — PIT Striker and PIT Underground stages.
