- Founded 1982 as a Boston Improv Olympic by Ellen Holbrook (ex-Second City Chicago, iO Chicago producer); formally co-founded with Nicholas Emanuel and Katy Bolger in 1983.
- Moved from Inman Square Cambridge to a 140-seat Central Square venue in February 2008.
- Lost the Central Square theater in November 2020 and never secured a replacement; board announced December 11, 2023 that operations would cease December 31, 2023.
