Also known as Walking Warm-Up, Space Walk
Players walk the room in a neutral gait. A coach calls out prompts — walk as someone late, walk as someone in love, walk on the moon — and players shift without stopping.
Known for
- Spolin's canonical physical warm-up; in Improvisation for the Theater (1963).
- Variants: Walking by Numbers (speed 1-10), Emotional Walks, Status Walks.
- Establishes ensemble rhythm — everyone moving at once without bumping.
