Gift Game
1990s-present · global
Also known as Giving Gifts, Mime Gifts
Circle; one player mimes handing a gift-box to the next with no words; the receiver endows the gift ('a toaster!') and thanks the giver.
Known for
- Core applied-improv drill — teaches Yes-And at the object level.
- Distinct from 'Presents' (the Whose Line game): Gift Game is cooperative, not punchline-based.
- Rule: give first, name second. The receiver builds on what they see.
- Used in leadership training to teach gift-receiving as a business skill.
